JULIAN CIDER RUN

So you want to make Cider do Ya?
Here's the plan for the Julian Cider Run event on Sat. Nov. 114th. This is a great learning experience, the juice is awesome and a BBQ at Jerry's cabin in the mountains is a treat. Don't miss it. An RSVP to Jerry would be a nice courtesy for food planning.

Arrangements are complete. Farmer's Fruit Stand Bakery is located right on Route 79 about 6 1/2 miles before Julian in a little settlement known as Wynola Springs.

The owner and son of the original founder is Bud Farmer.

The agreed upon schedule is that we will arrive about 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 14. They may be crushing and pressing most of the morning, so we will be able to purchase some really fresh cider. Last year we bought about 50 gallons. This year should make for some really HARD cider for next year, if we pitch a little yeast.

We will leave Farmer's about 12:00-12:30 and drive to Jerrys cabin on the other side of Julian, toward Lake Cuyamaca, where we will have a cook-out and sample various ciders, ales, and beers. Jerry will hand out direction sheets to the cabin at Farmer's. The cook-out will include all-you-can-eat sirloin burgers with all the fixings, home made baked beans, potato chips, soda, and fresh apple pie.
