Our mission is to advocate the exchange of information relating to the art and science of brewing, thereby promoting quality engineered homebrews.
We meet at Stone Brewing in San Marcos on the first Wednesday evening of every month at 6:00 P.M..
Often a focus topic (such as dry-hopping or wheat beers) is presented/discussed. Discussions are led by members who present information to the club from research and experiences. Meetings are otherwise informal and include planning for special events, judging beers and general socialization. Meetings are primarily held in the North County region.
Annuale Events are planned throughout the year and always involve family and friends. Events included:
Southern California Homebrew Festival,
Brew sessions,
Del Mar Fair Gathering...and Homebrew Competition
Our library consists of books, magazines and past issues of brewsletters which are available to members on a monthly basis. The library is funded by membership dues and new acquisitions are chosen by popular demand.
Membership is open to all interested brewers. Dues are $25/year and cover brewsletter costs, classic beers for related discussions, library acquisitions, special event flyers and other administrative costs.
By using the membership card members are afforded benefits such as discounts at most San Diego county homebrew shops, access to the SBE library, bulk rates on club purchased items such as kegging equipment etc...
